Cranial cruciate ligament rupture is one of the most common reasons for visits to veterinary practices due to lameness in dogs. The purpose of this article is to present the most common treatment methods, briefly discuss their principles of action and performance, patient qualification for surgery, and the advantages and disadvantages of the presented procedures. This part discusses extracapsular stabilization techniques for the stifle joint and TPLO. The next part discusses, among others, TTA and modified TTA Rapid.
